MANO MONUMENTAS / A MONUMENT OF ME

Creative residency and site-specific performance at local agriculture market in the City of Visaginas.

This project started in February 2023 without any intentions or plans to grow into something bigger than weekly dance/performance classes for local citizens without any background in performing arts.
The more we met, talked and practiced the more I became inspired by the City of Visaginas, its history and its people.
In May, 2023 we decided to connect all our conversations, dances, movement practices and ideas into something bigger and show it to local audience. We didn`t expect that people would come to see our experiments in the local Culture Center. That`s why we decided that we`d come to them and the location where locals go every Sunday was agriculture market.
This is how it was born.
